Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for face protection is partially performed by a face shield which covers more or less the field of vision and is approved and certificated according to EN 166 resp. EN 171.
Since face protection is intended to protect against radiant and convective heat is usually worn in combination with other PPE according to EN ISO 11612, the following items have also been approved against radiant heat following to ISO 6942.
The here shown face protection is worn in combination with a safety helmet and fixed on it by a mounting device suitable to all helmets which meet the requirements of EN 397. Where, following to a risk assessment, a safety helmet must not be worn, face shields might be worn in combination with a head ring.
